Kirk R Wilson

Kirk is a California State Bar Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law with an advanced degree in Taxation.  He has extensive experience in estate and tax planning for individuals and families as well as the administration of decedents’ estates and trusts.  He enjoys working closely with clients and their professional advisors to provide knowledgeable and thoughtful legal solutions to the many challenges presented by complex family dynamics and the constantly changing estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax laws.  He assists clients with the preparation of comprehensive estate plans to preserve and transfer family wealth in a tax-efficient manner.  He also represents clients in disputed trust and estate matters.

 

Kirk has served on the boards of a number of Santa Barbara charities, and is currently President of the Santa Barbara Planned Giving Roundtable, and actively involved with the Foundation for Santa Barbara City College.

 

Education:  University of California at Berkeley (BA in Classical Rhetoric 1972), University of California Hastings College of the Law (JD, 1977), and Golden Gate University School of Law (LL.M., Taxation with Honors, 1998).

 

Kirk’s outside interests include travel, golf, hiking and biking, as well as spending time with his wife and adult children.
